The United States of America is a large nation. It contains multitudes in natural geography, biomes, political beliefs, and cultural institutions. It is inherently a cosmopolitan and multicultural society, being a land comprised of a majority of immigrants and their descendants, and yet even among those recent immigrants the US finds a way to put its stamp on their cultural institutions, turning them American.
